Tori was waiting for me in my room. I’d just returned after seeing Theo, needing to calm myself and my body down before going to see the others. My plan was to thank them, but the moment Tori appeared, I knew the others would have to wait.
“I heard some things from Jaxon,” she said, swinging her legs back and forth off the edge of my bed. I went to lay with her, figuring there was no way out of this conversation. I just hoped Jaxon didn’t tell her too much.
